Learning about the Reading Recovering Scheme with Jack Birmingham and Natasha Davison

Sevenoaks MP Michael Fallon has praised the Reading Recovery scheme at St Mary’s C of E School, Swanley.

Mr Fallon visited the school on Friday (12th) and met the headteacher Mrs Amanda McGarrigle and Reading Recovery teacher Natasha Davison.  He sat in on an individual lesson with five year old Jack Birmingham.  Michael said:

“This scheme is really making a difference.  Children are learning earlier and faster; being able to read properly does wonders for their self-confidence.  Natasha and the school are to be congratulated on this initiative.”
